Have you ever walked by a house and thought to yourself, "Hmm, I bet that place is haunted"? If you have, your next thought is usually to just keep on walking.
Well, that is exactly what these people did NOT do. Instead, they decided to break in and go exploring. Wait until you see what they found in the basement. It's so creepy, and so tragic.
Here is the exterior of the house.
It's tucked back against a desert ridge, which turns into a small canyon.
Looking in from the broken front door. What's strange is that despite it being clearly abandoned, the house has suffered no major vandalism.
The blackened fireplace in the living room. This appeared to be the only source of heat in the house.
The kitchen. It looks like it's in fairly good shape, all things considered.
Looking inside the kitchen drawers.
Creepy, abandoned household items.
Throughout the house were these strange holes.
In the other room were the remnants of two mattresses. These metal skeletons are all that's left after years of neglect.
This dead bird was found hanging from the ceiling in one room.
In the bathroom, there was evidence of gunshots . At this point, I would have headed straight for the exit.
This is upstairs room.
Upstairs there were these small trap doors leading into a crawl space under the roof.
This is the crawl space through one of the doors. Super eerie.
More evidence of gunshots in the room upstairs.
Downstairs as they were leaving they discovered one more room....
The creepiest basement of all time.
Looking into the pitch blackness.
Looking under the floorboards in the basement.
An abandoned ladder and empty shelves. The basement was also covered in spider webs.
A lonely table sat in the corner.
Underneath the table was this child's seat. Very spooky.
This place is creep-tastic. It looks like it could have actually been a beautiful place to live at one point. I just wonder what happened to make someone abandon it like that.
